5 Clever Ways to Deal With The Haze In Malaysia
Every morning for the past few weeks, I’ve been throwing open my curtains and cussing at the endless white.

The haze in Malaysia is the worst in decades and most of us are still at a loss on how we’re meant to react. With news of forest fires still raging on, it’s hard to conclude when these smoggy mornings will end.
Inspired by Facebook rants and hopeful Instagram posts, we’ve compiled five common defense mechanisms that seem to be helping our fellow Malaysians mentally combat the haze.
1. Fight it
The first obvious reaction is to assume battle position.
There are a couple of basic measures you can take to try and minimize the negative health effects of smog, namely:

2. Ignore it:
Haze, what haze? Life goes on unchanged for many Malaysians.
Whilst we applaud your chin chai attitude, we do however, advise you make some basic adjustments, for your own well-being. If you haven’t already:

In my honest opinion, the haze can seem almost cozy when viewed from behind a window. Since we can now pretend we live in a country with seasons, there are some indoor activities that suddenly become extra snug with the haze about. Some examples:
- Start a movie marathon (pick end-of-the-world movies for extra drama).
- Bake/cook something special – it’ll help with the smell.
- Take the chance to light up some scented candles in the gloom
- Pick up a good book, grab a blanket (because, global warming)
- Kick off a LAN party.

4. Understand it

5. Escape it:
