This quaint little cafe in Cascadium Condo serves authentic French Cuisine. Try their Rotizza, touted as pizza the Malaysian way which uses Prata as the base instead of pizza dough. Try the Rotizzaladiere, which has grilled onions in place of cheese giving it a nice sweet touch which compliments the savory flavors of anchovies perfectly. 2. Indonesia: Ayam Penyet Ria


The steady rise of Ayam Penyet as a popular dish is seeing no signs of slowing down. It is a hearty and comforting dish. Ayam Penyet Ria is one of the most popular brand names serving authentic Indonesian cuisines from the recipe books of famed Indonesian chef, Ibu Ruth.  Menu favorites include the eponymous Ayam Penyet, with chicken that is tender on the inside and crispy on the outside complimented perfectly with its flavorful sweet and spicy sambal. Another must try is the Iga Penyet which is the fried beef ribs version – sweet, succulent and tender. Other famous Indonesian dishes such as Soto and Gado-gado are also served here.

3. Lebanon: Al-Amar


Al-Amar’s owner, who is from Beirut has hired two Lebanese chef specifically to keep the food as authentic as possible so you can be sure these people at Al-Amar sure do know their stuff. Indulge in their highly popular and flavorful Shanklich which is a type of cheese served in a mix of onions, tomatos cheese and olive oil. If you’re the adventurous type, try the Kebbeh Nayyeh which is a raw dish of minced lamb, bulgur and spices – this dish has a strong gamey taste but if you like your food that way then this would be perfect for you. All of these is served with Lebanese bread. Other Lebanese and Mediterranean items are also available such as the Haloumi Salad, Shawarma and Tabbouleh.

4. Mexico: Panchos Mexican Taqueria


Touting itself as Malaysia’s the KL’s tastiest taco joint, Panchos has the qualities to back it up. Serving up food that pack a punch and other common Mexican fare such as soft or hard shell tacos, quesadillas, burritos and nachos. All of the dishes are generously seasoned and sauced. What’s more, it is hearty thus making it worth your money’s worth.

5. Japan: Tokyo Don / Tokyo Teppan


This is quite the unique dining experience! Conjoined to the hip, these two sister restaurants are set side by side with Tokyo Don specializing in Donburi whilst Tokyo Teppan specializes in Teppanyaki. Try out their best seller the Azuma set which comes with perfectly crispy fried Chicken and juicy Salmon. They have a very comprehensive menu enough to give you a taste of Japan!

6. Taiwan: Devotion Taiwanese Dessert


This one’s for your sweet tooth! Bringing a taste of Taiwan’s famous custard puffs is Devotion. Perfectly light and creamy their cream puffs are made fresh everyday – but still good enough to be consumed even after three days. These puffs are shaped to resemble a lion instead of the popular shape of an owl in Taiwan – aside from this little tweak the recipe has stayed devoted to the original night market puffs in Taiwan. They also sell muffins, macaroons and brownies – perfect to cap off any meal.

7. Pakistan: Restoran Menara

Co-owned by a Malaysian and a Pakistani, Restoran Menara aims to serve Pakistani cuisine suited for the Malaysian palate. Recommended items are the seafood briyani which is something you don’t see everyday and their butter chicken which is homemade and rich in flavor. The rest of the menu is filled with traditional Pakistani dishes such as Tandoori, Tikka and Naan.
