KL is a city with a thriving nightlife. However, a large portion of us locals don’t consume alcohol, either for religious or personal reasons. We’re still able to enjoy hanging out with friends over drinks though, as there are many spots in the city that are alcohol-free.
Many of these places provide mocktails and alcohol-free versions of popular bar offerings, as well as a pretty laidback vibe perfect for chatting.
Head over to these places for some of the best alcohol-free drinks in the city:
Jibril is an alcohol-free speakeasy located in the very hip neighborhood of SS15. It’s hidden behind a very nondescript door at the back of the Sangkaya ice cream parlor. The speakeasy’s design is inspired by the 1920s prohibition era, with lots of cushy furniture, bare lamps, and hidden corners. They have a full menu of freshly cooked food, and their Salted Egg Butter Chicken Rice ( RM 15.90) is the bestseller. For drinks, try the Potter (RM8.90) and Saloma ( RM8.90)
