The award-winning production of Ola Bola The Musical rose to critical acclaim when it was staged in Istana Budaya. The show was sold out in 2018 and it was one the biggest musicals ever staged in Malaysia.

What’s the story? In short, the musical tells an inspiring tale of how the Malaysian football team overcame all obstacles to qualify for the 1980 Olympics. The audience can expect humour, drama, suspense and excitement all-in-one. The story unfolds with the football team persevering against all odds to resolve their problems.

Specially brought to audiences across the nation by Enfiniti Sdn Bhd, the Ola Bola Merdeka Tour is free for everyone. To commemorate the National Day spirit, the tour will be held at various venues on selected dates. The shows in Kuching are expected to be full-scale musical performances. However, the other locations will feature one-hour adaptations of the musical. Hence, this Merdeka musical treat is a wonderful way to celebrate the country’s National Day.
